Women's Shelter
This has been an exciting year for the WRC and generous donors like you have made it all possible. Your donation of canned goods and many other items is greatly appreciated!
WRC continues to try to serve all of the women and children who seek services at our locations at 501 East Alameda and at the shelter. Last year we provided emergency shelter to 450 women and children; crisis intervention to 275 sexual assault victims; counseling for 250 women (and children's groups for their kids); 3,800 total shelter days; professional training and community education to 3,140 attendees and 5,103 information and referral contacts.

Rape Crisis Center
Our rape crisis center opened on July 15, 2004 and has already made a great deal of difference for the 31 women, one male, and the members of their personal support systems in dealing with the trauma of sexual assault. We're proud of our one-of-a-kind state-of-the-art facility and grateful to all who have made it possible.
The Rape Crisis Center has a hotline (701-5660) that is answered 24 hrs. a day, seven days a week. We currently have 10 Rape Response Team Members, some who also answer the crisis line and one crisis line volunteer.
